Brief Bio

I am a Christian life coach, author, freelance writer/researcher, and conference speaker, with over 20 years of
ministry and professional experience.  As a life coach, I assist in guiding others to recognize where they are now,
determine where they would like to be, and then I walk alongside of them until they reach that destination. As an
ordained minister, I have founded or have been involved in various ministries over the years, including spiritual
direction, hospital chaplaincy, women's ministries, and singles ministries. I have recently authored two books and
two ebooks, and have written web content, as well as articles for print and online magazines and journals.
A Wholistic Philosophy

My business, ministry, and lifestyle are all intertwined and are based on Biblical principles. Although Christian in
essence, my philosophy of business and ministry is to reach out to people at their point of need on a practical
level as well as spiritual. Practicality is important, because we are physical beings living in a tangible world, even
though we are also spiritual. If we ignore the physical and tangible part of a person and concentrate only on the
spirit, then we are out of balance and cannot touch people's lives on a wholistic level. In order to be whole, one
must be aware of and integrate the three components of our nature, which are body, soul, and spirit.
On a Personal Note

Some of my friends and acquaintances have remarked that they would die of weariness if they were as busy as I
am, and my reply is that I would die of boredom if I were not as busy.  I am best described as a "type
A-squared" personality, always on the go, always into something new. That can be a great strength, but
sometimes our greatest strengths can also be our greatest weaknesses. God needs to remind me once in a while
to slow down, stop "doing" so much as just "be" for a while. To maintain my sanity in the middle of all this
activity, I escape on a personal solo retreat at least twice a year. My family appreciates my alone time, because I
usually come back in a good mood.

When I am not working or involved in ministry, I am usually spending time with my family, writing, reading,
surfing the net, hiking, or studying. I am originally from California, but I now live in Tennessee with my husband
Gabriel, two children, and a cat.
